Michelson Program

2007 Fellows Announced!

The Michelson Program seeks to further both the technical development and broad scientific application of exo-planet-related technologies such as optical/near-IR interferometry and coronagraphy. The Michelson Program is administered for the Navigator Program by the MSC, and it includes both the Michelson Fellowship Program and the Michelson Summer Workshop

The Michelson Fellowship Program administers an annual series of fellowships for young scientists and engineers working in disciplines related to exo-planetary research. Fellowship recipients receive financial support to conduct research at a host institution in the US for a period of up to three years (subject to annual review and availability of funds from NASA). Find more information (including application information) here.

Of special interest may be the 2005 Michelson Fellows Symposium, featuring presentations by current and previous fellows.

The Michelson Summer Workshop series are annual topical workshops that provide opportunities for students to learn about the engineering and scientific application of exo-planet-related techniques used in the Navigator Program.
